Below is his manifesto:

1. The Uni-Abuja Alumni Chamber of Commerce and Industry:

My vision for the Association is to bring it to national limelight through a number of first-class initiatives and make it the prime tertiary Alumni Association in Nigeria. We are creating the first National Alumni Database to store the contact details of each and every member across Nigeria and in the various states of the Federation. This would ensure that we are all connected. We have begun to map out steps to establish the Unibuja Alumni Association Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the advancement of the business interests of our members and to ensure that they enjoy an environment that promotes their interests across Nigeria but especially in the Federal Capital Territory. Already 120 members have asked to join the Alumni Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We are about to launch the Good Hands Skills Scheme which is an initiative to partner with the National Directorate of Employment to provide training on vocational courses so that members can start earning quick income.

2. Uni-Abuja Alumni Farm Co-operative

The aim of this proposal to launch the Alumni Farm Co-operative is to invest in agriculture as a means of generating revenue for the Association while employing our members who have an interest in working in the agricultural sector. We believe that this Farm would make agricultural produce affordable for members of our Association in various states. This would extend to members of their families also.  We have begun working on aspects of a pilot programme here in the Federal Capital Territory.

3. The Uni-Abuja Alumni Sports Council:

I have asked my team to quickly begin plans to establish the Alumni Sports Council to promote our athletes in local and regional competitions. Furthermore, we are in discussions with some outstanding corporate citizens to organize an annual Sports Meet. We have received interest from over 150 members of our association who are keen athletes. We are working to create opportunities in badminton, tennis, football and others.

Not all of us must end up in the boardroom or the courtroom we have the potential to launch multi-million dollar careers not for myself, not for the association but for each member who has potential skills and talents.

 4. The Uni-Abuja Alumni Arts Council:

From my personal interaction with several members of the Association, I am aware that a lot of us are talented in the Arts and we have worked out modalities for the Alumni Arts Council to be established to promote the art works of our colleagues by promoting them and creating opportunities for them to earn an income.

5. The Revival  of State Chapters:

We intend to create vibrant sub-national chapters to ensure that all of our members key in and elect responsible leaders who would maximize every opportunity available for the benefit of all members at state level.

6. On a final note, please vote for me, Barrister Aliyu Yusuf Shehu, in order for us to be able to deliver on these cardinal points so that our members would enjoy the benefit of being a part of us. Thank you and see you on the victorious side on Saturday.
